Adopt-A-Drain Brattleboro
You may have seen the mural painted around a storm drain in the Harmony Lot in Brattleboro. This mural not only draw people's attention to storm drains, but also promotes our Adopt-a-Drain program. This community-wide project aims to document and remove debris from storm drains in the greater Brattleboro area. With your participation, we can decrease pollution and runoff into our waterways and minimize standing water in areas around storm drains!
Project Goal
Community members will adopt a catch basin, culvert, or pipe outlet to monitor and remove debris. Data collected will be used to understand point pollution in our waterways and areas for future conservation focus.
What participants do
Clear the area on top and around the drain of debris. Collect, document (with datasheet or photos), and remove trash, recycling, and organic materials.
